Please note our teachers’ availability is constantly changing. We also offer online lessons, lessons for Twang Tots (ages 3-5) and for retirees.
What age groups do you teach?
We teach all age groups, from young children to adults. Our teachers are experienced in working with students of all ages and skill levels. We offer discounted rates for ages 3-5 and retirees - please visit Twang Tot’s or Retiree’s for more information.
Do you offer group lessons or only private lessons?
Usually we only offer 1-1 lessons, but some teachers teach two students at once, for example two siblings. Please keep in mind that all students progress at different rates, and this potentially could be limiting to a students’ progress. Please contact us for more details.
How long are the lessons?
We offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute lessons depending on the student's needs and availability. We also offer 20 minute lessons at a discounted rate for ages 3-5, please see our Twang Tot’s page for more details.
How much do Twang Music Academy’s lessons cost?
Our prices vary depending on the length of the lesson, a student’s age, and the type of lesson such as online or in-store. We also offer discounts to those who book lessons in bulk, or if multiple family members book weekly lessons, e.g. a brother and a sister both have lessons in the same week. Please check our [insert page] for more information on pricing.
How often should I take music lessons?
We recommend taking music lessons once a week, although some students may benefit from more frequent lessons. We will assume when enrolling that you will be taking weekly lessons. If you would like to have less frequent lessons, please communicate this with your teacher.
Do I need to bring my own instrument to the lesson?
It depends on the instrument and its portability. For example, we would not expect any student to bring their keyboard to a lesson. In addition, we have instruments available specifically for students to use in lessons if the student has not obtained one yet, such as guitars. However we recommend the student having an instrument at home for them to practise on to make the most out of their lessons.
I want a lesson at a specific time, is this possible?
Whilst you can request this, our teachers’ availability is constantly changing, and there is no guarantee that we can meet this request. Please contact us for more details.
